According to Zimbabwe’s parks authority, a tourist from Australia is currently unaccounted for in the Victoria Falls national park, which is known for being home to one of the most magnificent natural attractions in the world.
According to Tinashe Farawo, a representative of the Zimbabwe National Parks and Wildlife Management Authority, a tourist disappeared while visiting the expansive rainforest on Friday.
“Our team, which includes the police, is actively searching for the missing tourist. We have utilized sniffer dogs, drones, and trackers in our efforts,” stated Farawo. The authorities have disclosed that the tourist is 67 years old, but have not provided any additional information.
It is uncommon to see such occurrences in Victoria Falls, a popular tourist spot that draws in many visitors from around the world to witness its magnificent waterfall. The waterfall cascades more than 108 meters (350 feet) from the Zambezi River into a gorge below, creating a mist that can be seen from afar.
Several incidents have been documented in different parks. In October of last year, a German traveler who went missing in Matusadona National Park in northern Zimbabwe was discovered safe and in good condition three days after being reported missing.
