Fearless – and this is the Era I truly fell in love with Taylor.
I have a vivid memory of purchasing the 2008 album in CD format from Target when I was 12 years old. My mother accompanied me, and it seems fitting that 15 years later, I am now taking her to her first Taylor Swift concert.
There has been backlash about Tay not performing her first album, 2006’s self-titled, at the Eras concert. For me, songs like “Our Song,” “Teardrops On My Guitar,” and “Mary’s Song” hold a lot of nostalgia. However, it was with Fearless that she truly broke into the mainstream with hits such as “Love Story” and “You Belong With Me” (which also sparked the infamous feud with Kanye West).
During this time period, Taylor sings her classic songs Fearless, You Belong With Me, and Love Story.
(Additional: All I can say is my mum will be really happy with these choices – I on the other hand would’ve loved a little Forever and Always, The Best Day or Hey Stephen but there’s always the surprise songs.)
