Luton has announced that Tom Lockyer is still being tested following his cardiac arrest.


On Sunday, Tom Lockyer stayed in the hospital for tests and scans after collapsing on the field during Saturday’s Premier League game against Bournemouth.

During the 59th minute of Saturday’s match, Lockyer experienced a heart attack on the field. Medical personnel attended to him at the Vitality Stadium before he was transported to a hospital. The game, which was tied 1-1, was halted and ultimately cancelled with the clock frozen at 65 minutes.

On Sunday, Luton released a statement reporting that Lockyer, who is 29 years old, is currently in a stable state. He has been described as “alert and responsive”. The team also requested for patience and understanding from their fans and media sources.

The statement indicated that our captain, Tom Lockyer, is still in the hospital after experiencing a cardiac arrest during the match at Bournemouth yesterday. We acknowledge that supporters are worried about him and that his condition has garnered significant media attention.
