Pochettino unconcerned about potential FFP consequences for Chelsea.

Mauricio Pochettino stated that he is not concerned about the potential consequences for Chelsea due to potential violations of financial fair play rules during Roman Abramovich’s ownership.

Specialists think that there may be a reduction in points as a consequence of leaked records that exposed a series of undisclosed payments that potentially violated FFP regulations. These payments were made during Abramovich’s ownership of Chelsea, which ended after 19 years with a takeover by Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital in the summer of 2022.

The finances of Chelsea between 2012 and 2019 are currently being investigated by the Premier League and Football Association, with potential charges to follow. Last week, Everton was penalized 10 points by the Premier League for violating its profit and sustainability regulations.

The investigations were sparked by Chelsea’s new ownership reporting that “incomplete financial information” had been submitted during Abramovich’s tenure. Uefa has fined the club £8.6m over the admission.

Pochettino stated that he had not discussed the recent accusations regarding Abramovich with Boehly or Clearlake. The manager of Chelsea also mentioned that it was not his position to address the matter.

When questioned about the situation, Pochettino chose not to reveal any information. When asked if he was concerned, he responded with a simple “No.” It was suggested to him that Chelsea may lose their trophies won under Abramovich, resulting in Tottenham being awarded the 2016-17 title.

In 2017, Pochettino was the manager of Spurs and they came in second place behind Chelsea. When asked if he would want the title to be given to him, Pochettino nervously laughed.

In the near future, the Argentinian coach will be suspended from the touchline during Chelsea’s match against Newcastle on Saturday. Pochettino received his third booking of the season during a 4-4 tie with Manchester City and has decided to make it up to his team by treating them to a barbecue dinner.

Nicolas Jackson, the striker for Chelsea, revealed that he had to do additional running during training as a consequence for receiving five yellow cards and being suspended for one game.

Pochettino mentioned that he had to run, and as a result, he would cover the cost of a dinner. He explained that he would be suspended for not being able to run, and he would rather pay for the dinner. He also stated that he would be paying for the entire team and staff, which would be a significant expense.
