A man has been charged with murder after a woman was found stabbed in a car park at Crawley train station on Sunday.

Officers were called to a report of an altercation between a man and woman at about 7.10am on Station Way in Crawley.

The area was searched and a woman was found in a nearby car park “with stab injuries”, Sussex police said.

She was treated by paramedics, but was confirmed dead at the scene, the force added.

Due to the location of the incident, the investigation has since been taken over by British Transport Police.

Jason Pascal Flore, 26, of no fixed abode, was charged with murder and has been remanded to appear at Crawley magistrates court on Tuesday 20 August.

The force has asked witnesses or “anyone with information that could help” to contact police online or via 101, quoting Operation Venn.
