Carlos Alcaraz successfully defended his Indian Wells championship by defeating fourth seed Daniil Medvedev with a score of 7-6 (5), 6-1. In the beginning of the final match, Medvedev had a strong start, leading 3-0 as Alcaraz made several mistakes. However, the Spaniard was able to regain his momentum and narrowly won the first set tie-break before ultimately winning the match. This victory marks Alcaraz as the second player in history to win five Masters 1000 titles before the age of 21, following in the footsteps of Rafael Nadal. Alcaraz has also earned a total of 13 tour titles thus far.
