Police reported that two males were discovered deceased at a residence in Hartlepool, located in County Durham.
The bodies were found just before midnight on Friday. A woman in her thirties was taken into custody for suspicion of murder and has since been released on bail by the police as they continue their investigations.
Authorities stated that the relatives of the two individuals had been notified and were receiving assistance from officers who were trained for such situations.
According to a statement from Cleveland police, authorities were notified of two deceased males at a residence on Eaglesfield Road in Hartlepool at approximately 11:40pm on Friday, March 15.
“Authorities are looking into the circumstances surrounding the passing of the individuals.”
The authorities have blocked off a section of the road and increased police presence in the vicinity.
A female in her thirties was taken into custody for alleged murder and has been released on bail while investigations are ongoing. The police are conducting visible patrols to provide reassurance and will continue to do so in the following days. A spokesperson for the police stated that anyone who possesses information related to the incident should come forward.
A representative from the North East ambulance service (NEAS) stated that a notification was received at 11:36pm regarding a severe event at a private residence on Eaglesfield Road in Hartlepool. The police were also present at the location.
“We dispatched a duty officer, a clinical team leader, and an emergency ambulance crew. All NEAS resources were called off while on the scene.”
