According to reports, individuals pretending to work for Kensington Palace, who were fired due to their involvement in the manipulated photo of Kate Middleton, have revealed that they tricked former Fox News presenter Tucker Carlson into featuring them on his online show.

In a viral video on X with over one million views, Josh Pieters and Archie Manners disclosed the process behind their creation of a fake story about being fired by the Prince and Princess of Wales for their unsuccessful attempt at manipulating a photo of Middleton and her children. This manufactured controversy has sparked worldwide outrage and sparked endless speculation.

An individual pretending to be a past employee deceived TCN production staff with the “disgruntled former employee” ploy. This resulted in an invitation for Manners, masquerading as the former digital content creator for the royal couple, to visit a London studio for an interview with the conservative personality Tucker Carlson.

Carlson compliments Manners for telling an engaging and fascinating story. Despite not initially expecting to be interested, Carlson was captivated by Manners’ made-up account of how the infamous photograph was supposedly captured by Middleton’s uncle in December. According to Manners’ tale, a Christmas tree had to be removed from the background during the editing process.

According to Deadline, the duo behind the YouTube channel Josh & Archie, known for their celebrity stunts, revealed that they persuaded Carlson by feeding his ego and providing an exclusive story, as the mainstream media in the UK would not cover it.

They convinced TCN researchers of their authenticity by creating a fake contract of employment that featured the words Every Little Helps, the motto of the British supermarket chain Tesco, in Latin on a Kensington Palace crest, and a clause in which the royals reserved the right to “amputate one limb of their choosing” if Manners failed a probationary period.

According to Pieters in the video, if Tucker Carlson’s team sees this, why would they allow you to appear on the show?

Deadline was informed by Manners that after the interview, TCN had scheduled to air it during the following week. However, Manners and Pieters made the decision to reveal it now in order to prevent false information from reaching X’s 530,000 followers.

“We did not intend to spread any false rumors to a large number of people,” he stated. “We simply did not want to make too big of a deal about it in our video.”

During the interview, Carlson interviews Manners about the photo. Multiple photo agencies recalled the photo due to multiple discrepancies. In a later statement from the palace, it was explained that Middleton was experimenting with editing, a common practice among amateur photographers. However, this statement did not offer comfort and led to a series of newsworthy events that even caught attention at the White House.

According to Manners, William and Kate deliberately shared a photo taken during Christmas along with a statement wishing everyone a happy Mother’s Day. They also revealed that William was the one who took the photo.

“He didn’t take it. Gary Goldsmith [Middleton’s uncle] took it.”

When contacting TCN through email, the duo identified themselves as a staff member named George from the palace. George claimed that he was about to be blamed for the commotion and was in the midst of being fired.

“The email expresses my awareness of the fact that the Royal Family has the power to sacrifice individuals like myself in order to safeguard their image.”

The Guardian has reached out to TCN for a statement.
