Anthony Hopkins criticized “The Bounty” as being a “sad mess” and poorly done, but I believe it is a fantastic film and Hopkins delivers an outstanding performance. What is your opinion? Catupatree

This was my first job after graduating from drama school. I believe Anthony Hopkins was exceptional in that role. I would be curious to know the date of that quote. During filming, I was only 20 years old and having a fantastic time in Tahiti with 200 stunning extras. I know that there were some issues between Anthony and the director, Roger Donaldson. I’m not sure if it was related to artistic differences – I was too caught up in the experience to pay attention – but in my opinion, the end result was a great film. They must have resolved their issues because they later worked together on The World’s Fastest Indian. I would love to know Tony – as he is known in the entertainment industry – thinks about the film now.

Did the themes of I Am Urban strike a chord with your personal experiences growing up in foster care? Sirriv69

This is a common theme we often encounter – neglectful parents struggling with addiction who have difficulty functioning in society. As someone who grew up in the foster care system, I could relate to the character in I Am Urban who is constantly being transferred between different homes. Being in foster care is similar to being in the military, there is a certain bond with others who have gone through similar experiences. Personally, my time in foster care wasn’t too bad, as I’ve been able to make up for lost time in my adulthood. I always had my sights set on the future, something that is taken away from many individuals in I Am Urban. So the story really struck a chord with me.

Hunting Venus was great. Did you enjoy being a woman and how difficult did it prove during filming? Prestonian79

‘At one point I had to tell people to keep their hands off my breasts’ … Morrissey in Hunting Venus.View image in fullscreen

Initially, it was challenging. I had to wear intense makeup starting at 4am due to the complicated prosthetics. Despite being a slim size 32 waist, the corset squeezed me down to a tiny 22 or 24 inches, causing significant discomfort. Once I removed it at the end of the day, I could sense my organs shifting back into place. Strolling in heels gave me greater understanding and compassion. However, portraying a woman was an enjoyable experience. I even received attention from men, including burly grips, who would flirt with me on set. At one point, I had to firmly request people to keep their hands off my breasts. I reminded them that, although they were not real, they were still a part of me. After filming concluded, I inquired if I could keep the prosthetic breasts, but I was unsure what to do with them, so they ended up serving as doorstops. Eventually, the silicone material deteriorated and began to stain my carpet, so I had to dispose of them.

What are your thoughts on not being invited to play the lead role in the upcoming Bob the Builder movie? If Anthony Ramos messes up, and producer Jennifer Lopez reaches out and asks, “Is it too late to fix the mistake?” what would your response be? -Paul_Rangecroft

“I told Jenny that my price has increased. I’m unsure of what type of movie this will be – stop-frame animation or CGI. I asked Jenny to call me so we can discuss. I recently spoke with Kate Harbour, who plays Wendy, and we agreed that the original Bob crew should be invited to the British premiere. It was a project fueled by passion. We started in a small studio and it would take a month to animate 10 minutes, but by the end, we had a larger warehouse in Manchester with over 200 animators producing 12 seconds of animation per team per day. It is sad that the original producer, Peter Orton, passed away. The movie was then picked up by a large US toy company and the focus shifted to making toys, rather than it being a small, beloved industry. Maybe I can educate JLo on the history of it all.”

“Do you feel satisfied with the fact that you have achieved two UK chart-topping singles, while Morrissey has not had any?” – VerulamiumParkRanger

I sympathize with the unfortunate person. I am truly satisfied. It was a unexpected twist in my professional journey. I indirectly appeared on Top of the Pops, albeit through a Bob animation. But hey, Morrissey is still pursuing music, so he can continue to strive.

Boon was extremely impressive. There were so many skilled individuals. How was your experience collaborating with Michael Elphick? Could it potentially be recreated? Tryggo and pleicetene.
Michael Elphick was a dream, a great mentor and friend. He taught me so much about film craft. We used to play this game where, by judging the distance from your mark to the lens, you could guess the width of the frame. We’d play for a fiver. He smashed me for years and took hundreds of pounds off me. When I started getting it right, he went: “That’s it,” and stopped. Could they ever bring it back? I suppose I would be the older biker bloke now. I wonder if they’d make me grow my hair? I started getting fed up with having helmet hair every time I took a helmet off because they wouldn’t let me cut it.

Would you be interested in creating a sequel to Men Behaving Badly, but with a dramatic twist focused on a midlife crisis? Kellysahero1970
This is already my life! All they have to do is film me like a documentary.

Have you considered writing your own life story, or has Peter Serafinowicz’s experience deterred you? -TopTramp184

Peter is the only person who imitates me, and it always makes me laugh. It’s endearing how he portrays me as a bit slow, but it hasn’t discouraged me. It’s all about timing. However, I do not want to write an autobiography and have it overshadowed by stories of Katie Price and Wayne Rooney. Instead, I would like to focus on my life from childhood to the age of 18 when I started attending drama school. And if Peter Serafinowicz is available, I would love for him to narrate the audiobook, as long as he’s not too busy mimicking Katie Price or Wayne Rooney.

Have you been acknowledged appropriately? Is your level of recognition satisfactory? ByTheSea

I am incredibly pleased. I am not someone who strives to climb the corporate ladder. Instead, I have always aimed to give my best effort in everything I do. At one point in the 90s, I may have been caught up in the idea of making it big in Hollywood like the characters in “Men Behaving Badly”. However, I have come to appreciate the value of being employed. The ultimate compliment is when someone hires me for a job. I am content knowing that I am still being consistently employed, whether it is for an animated comedy, a serious drama, or a play in the prestigious West End.
