After producing some of the most nostalgic and influential British pop music during the 1990s, Gabrielle is making a grand return with a new album and an upcoming tour of arenas in the UK. To commemorate this exciting comeback, she will be responding to your inquiries.

She was born and raised in London, and her career took off in 1993 with her first single Dreams. This emotional pop-R&B track showcased her unique, confident singing style and quickly reached No 2 on the charts in the UK and was also successful in the US. This was just the beginning of a string of 10 Top 10 hits in the UK, including Give Me a Little More Time, a throwback soul song reminiscent of classic Motown; If You Ever, a 90s breakup duet with East 17 that was elevated by Gabrielle’s soulful delivery; and Out of Reach, a ballad that was featured in the soundtrack for Bridget Jones’s Diary. In 2000, she achieved her first No 1 with Rise, which received approval from Bob Dylan for its use of a chord sequence from Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door.

Following the release of her fifth album “Always” in 2007, she took a hiatus from the industry for over ten years. However, with her comeback in 2018, she has seen a steady return in her popularity. This was further solidified by her appearance on The Masked Singer and the success of her most recent album “Do It Again” which reached the UK Top 5 chart. In addition, she was mentioned by Michaela Coel in her monologue for Stormzy’s track “Mel Made Me Do It”, with Coel referencing Gabrielle’s empowering quote “dreams can come true”. To top it off, she was personally chosen by Adele to be a supporting act for her 2022 Hyde Park concerts.

Gabrielle has confirmed several large events for 2025, including a show at London’s O2 Arena. Her new album, A Place in Your Heart, is scheduled to be released on May 10th. Before its debut, she will be addressing any questions about her personal life and career. Leave your questions in the comments section below before 10am GMT on Tuesday, March 19th and we will post her responses later in the week.
