Ajax is interested in acquiring Jordan Henderson if he is given the opportunity to depart Al-Ettifaq in the current month. The midfielder is currently considering his choices to potentially return to Europe in under six months since his controversial transfer from Liverpool to Saudi Arabia.
Multiple clubs have shown interest, however, Al-Ettifaq has yet to confirm if they are willing to release Henderson. He was signed to a profitable three-year agreement to play under his former Liverpool teammate, Steven Gerrard, whose tenure as head coach has not had a successful start.
Al-Ettifaq currently holds the eighth position in the Saudi Pro League, trailing the top spot by 28 points. Henderson has been a starter in 17 out of their 19 league games. Despite being chosen for England’s Euro 2024 preparations, he has faced criticism from certain fans after his transfer to Saudi Arabia.
