According to a lawyer representing multiple victims of Jeffrey Epstein’s abuse, Prince Andrew should be required to give sworn testimony regarding his involvement in the scandal. This would hold him accountable and potentially result in prison time if he provides false information.

In the midst of increasing demands for a police probe into accusations of sexual misconduct by a member of the royal family, lawyer Spencer Kuvin from Florida stated to the Observer that it is imperative for the Duke of York to face the consequences of his actions and provide a statement that is bound by legal obligations to reveal the truth.

He stated that Andrew had conducted an interview with the public and media, which was a disastrous one that did not go well for him. However, he must be accountable for what is currently being revealed and his involvement in the situation.

He must complete this action, not in a televised interview, but by taking an oath and being subject to perjury charges, with all necessary legal procedures, whether it is in London or the United States. He must clarify the truth.

Following the release of documents by a US court, Andrew’s name has been mentioned multiple times. These documents pertain to a 2015 civil case brought by Virginia Giuffre, who claims she was a victim of Epstein and his ex-girlfriend, Ghislaine Maxwell, as a “sex slave.” Giuffre filed a lawsuit against Maxwell for labeling her as a liar.

Records from the historic case reveal allegations that Andrew would frequently stay for extended periods at Epstein’s Palm Beach estate, which Epstein owned until his death in 2019 while facing charges for trafficking.

According to court documents, Juan Alessi was employed as a housekeeper for Epstein for 12 years, from 1990 to 2002. Alessi testified that during Andrew’s visits to Epstein’s residence, he would receive massages on a daily basis. The court also released testimony from Johanna Sjoberg, who alleges she was a victim of abuse by Epstein. In her testimony, she resurfaced an allegation that Prince Andrew touched her breast at Epstein’s New York apartment in 2001.

Earlier, Andrew reached a resolution with Giuffre regarding allegations that he sexually abused her three times when she was 17. The prince, who withdrew from his role as a working royal in 2019, has continuously refuted all accusations of misconduct.

Newly released files have brought up new concerns about the behavior of the prince and his relationship with Epstein, which goes back to 1999. These documents also reveal discrepancies between Andrew’s statement and that of Maxwell, whom the prince previously stated introduced him to Epstein. In her testimony, the British socialite denies being the one who introduced them. According to Kuvin, who currently represents four victims of Epstein, it is now necessary for the prince to give his testimony under oath in order to clarify the situation. Alternatively, he should remove himself from the spotlight due to the embarrassment caused by the revelations.

The anti-monarchy group Republic has reported Andrew to the Metropolitan Police, urging them to investigate the renewed allegations of sexual assault against him. Although the police have not initiated an investigation, they have stated that they will reassess the situation if any new and pertinent information arises. As of now, Buckingham Palace has not issued a response.
