Paul Anderson, known for his role in Peaky Blinders, has been penalized for having illegal substances such as crack cocaine in his possession on Boxing Day.

According to his lawyer, Anderson, known for his role as Arthur Shelby in the show, often gets recognized by fans and may occasionally adopt his character’s behavior to please them.

The individual, who is 48 years old, attended Highbury Corner magistrates court on Thursday and was charged with possessing class A crack cocaine, as well as class B amphetamines and two class C prescription substances. They admitted guilt for all four charges and were given a fine of £1,345.

Per a report, Anderson solely communicated to enter his pleas and verify his identity and residence in north-west London.

The prosecutor, Kevin Kendridge, claimed that Anderson had been found in possession of the substances on December 26th. According to the Daily Mail, the police were alerted to a pub near Anderson’s residence by the manager, who had been informed that crack cocaine fumes were emanating from the restroom designated for disabled individuals after Anderson had used it.

The article stated that authorities discovered Anderson in the company of a juvenile male and a 17-month-old infant. He was brought to a police precinct where officers discovered crack cocaine, a packet of brown powder identified as amphetamines, and also diazepam and pregabalin.

According to reports, Anderson’s attorney presented a defense stating that the defendant is well-known for his role in a recent TV show and often tries to please fans by embodying his character.

“He was recognised that Boxing Day and tried to play up for these people. And because of the lifestyle he leads people often give him inducements.” His lawyer said Anderson had not been smoking crack cocaine, but added: “He has found himself in an unfortunate position and should have had the strength to say no.”
